1444 – Sunday indulgence

While we have been on lock down (3 months now!) it’s been my habit to buy turon when I go shopping at the nearby supermarket. If you are not familiar with Filipino cuisine, turon is a delicious (but not particularly healthy) snack made from sliced cooking bananas, dusted in brown sugar, rolled in a spring roll wrapper and fried. Sometimes you can get then with jackfruit in them. I was eating mine as I sketched this one, destined to be scoffed pretty quickly.

  1. It sounded good…. right up until the jackfruit LOL. As always, I love the art. I’m thinking about doing a little “food art” one of these days. 🙂

      1. LOL… I never have acquired a taste for jackfruit. I will look forward to more food art, maybe with pineapples? Rice? Peppers? And bananas, of course. Happy art…and happy eating!
