118-3452-7 – Kyusi Sunday Sketchers

3 mins

Here is the second batch of sketches I did with Kyusi Sunday Sketchers a few weeks ago. These are of the second model who’s name was Luke. As before each pose was for 3-8 minutes – plus a one minute pose done using my non-dominant hand. I used a mixture of ink and watercolour pencils.

118-3446-51 – Kyusi Sunday Sketchers

3 mins

Here is the first batch of life drawings I did with Kyusi Sunday Sketchers a few weeks ago. These are of the first model who’s name was Will. He used a bow and arrow as a prop, but most of the time I ignored it in my sketches. Each pose was for 3-8 minutes – plus a one minute pose done using your non-dominant hand (left for me). I used a mixture of ink and watercolour pencils.

117-3433 – Smiling later on in the conversation

Here is another sketch of my mum done during our regular video call. She started off a bit “droopy” but was much more animated by the time the call ended. I started this with watercolour pencils…which feel less permanent and looser (which is good as I am a bit tentative when sketching faces) – and then added some touches of some new blue Sailor ink afterwards.

115-3390-4 – Pagsibol figure drawing

10 mins

Here are the figure drawings I did with Kyusi Sunday Sketchers a few weeks ago. According to Google Pagsibol means sprouting, germination, growth, blooming, or emergence…I guess it’s been a while since the group had a session!? I sketched using ink and watercolour as usual.

Pose 2 10 mins

The group had arranged for some guidance from Joji Vidal (@jojividalart) and he gave us some detailed instructions on proportions. I drew him and one of the other sketchers while he talked.
