Finally, here are the last of my sketches done at the PensNBrushes life drawing session back in January. These poses are a mix of the male and female model, in 10, 15 and 20 minute poses, including couples poses. I did these using a mix of watercolour, watercolour pencil and ink.

Here are yet more sketches done at the PensNBrushes life drawing session back in January. These are of the female model (sorry I didn’t get her name and although I saw her account on Instagram, I have now lost it!). Each of these poses was for 5 minutes and I used Noodlers ink and watercolour pencils.

Here are some more of my sketches done at the PensNBrushes life drawing session a few weeks ago. The first two of these poses were 5 minutes and the last one 10 minutes – again the model took some pretty dynamic poses! For these I used a mixture of ink and Derwent watercolour pencils.

Here is the first batch of my sketches done at the PensNBrushes life drawing session a few weeks ago. Each pose was about 2 minutes and I used some Sailor ink. The model took some pretty dynamic (and difficult) poses!

Here is the last batch of sketches I did at the #PensNBrushes life drawing session on 3 May, of the two models together. Both of these took about 15 minutes. As before I used water soluble ink in an old #Rotring pen and added watercolour washes.

Here are some more of the sketches I did at the @PensNBrushesArt life drawing session on 3 May. These are the ones of the male model. I found it difficult to draw him because he wasn’t great at staying still and because of the added accessories (hat, fishing net and water gourds), which I find a bit distracting. Even so the last sketch in this batch (done in 20 minutes) was the one I was most satisfied with over the whole session.

Here are some of the sketches I did at the #PensNBrushes life drawing session on 3 May. As usual we started with quick poses of 2 minutes and then had a few of 5 and 10 minutes each. These are the ones of the female model. Unfortunately I didn’t bring my watercolour pencils to this session, so instead I used my ancient #Rotring ArtPen with water soluble ink, then added some watercolour washes. As is often the case I was most satisfied with the sketches that I took the least time on!

Here are the sketches I did at the @KyusiSundaySketchers #LifeDrawing session. The pace of drawing was a bit more relaxed that in other life drawing sessions I have attended – we had 10 and 15 minutes for each pose. I used my #Derwent #WatercolourPencils for the line-work and then added some watercolour washes.
We also had a challenge to do a non-dominant hand sketch and mine (the third one in this post) was one of the two that was picked out by the models – so I get a 50% discount on the next session!
