Here is my sketch for the Doodlewash prompt of “ladybugs” for Tuesday. In the UK we call them ladybirds. I couldn’t find a single one in the house, so my daughter kindly made me one out of elastic bands – what a sweety-pie.

Sticking to my principle of drawing whatever is in front of me, this is what I drew yesterday at my daughters gymnastics classes.

Here is the view I had while waiting at the gate at Shanghai aiport for my flight back to Manila. After only a few days at home I took an early morning flight to the UK to visit my parents for Christmas. I flew China Eastern Airlines and had to queue for 1 1/2 hours to check in at 2am. What fun. Here is the ink and watercolour-pencil sketch I did when I finally reached the gate.

Here is a sketch I did while waiting for my connection flight to Lebanon. The airport in Dubai is pretty spectacular and this sketch doesn’t really do it justice. Maybe on my way back I’ll do another one with a better viewpoint. This was done in ink, water-colour pencils and water-soluble graphite.
