Late night drawing again – too busy with work during the day to go out and draw. So here is what my youngest daughter is reading at the moment – sketched in ink, water-colour and water-colour pencils.

Here is the drawing I did late last night/early this morning – still managing to keep up with doing a drawing a day, although the subject matter is not that thrilling!

Here is an extra drawing I did while on holiday (in the usual ink and watercolour, but with a bit of added pastel too). I enjoyed drawing the tree but wasn’t so pleased with the background. Despite being at the beach, halloween decorations were everywhere!

This is the last sketch I did (in ink, watercolour and watercolour pencils) while we were on our little holiday in Laiya – done on the morning of Tue-25 when we left. The strange trunk-like thing with the orange top is a rolled up beach umbrella!

I painted this (ink, pencil, water-colour and water-colour pencils) on our second day at La Luz beach resort. We spend most of our time relaxing with this fantastic view and swimming with beautiful fishes, hundreds of which can be found only metres away from the beach.

Here is the first of my sketches (ink, water-colour and water-colour pencils) done during a short family holiday at La Luz beach resort in Laiya on the coast in Batangas. What a beautiful paradise the coast of the Philippines is – only a few hours drive from crowded and noisy Manila.

Today my youngest daughter had a dental check-up and I sketched this (using ink, water-colour and water-colour pencils) while I waited. Luckily she only had to have that uncomfortable cleaning done and a loose baby tooth, that was causing trouble, pulled!

I should have doing more work today, but part of the time I was distracted by sketching our cat and more importantly, the floor! My poor Daler sketchbook was worked hard in this drawing – the paper is really too thin to take so much watercolour, ink, pencil and watercolour pencils. I’m still not sure if I like the result.

Today I thought I must draw outside instead of stuck in the apartment – so here is another water-colour of the shared swimming pool at our place. I was hoping for a bit of peace and quiet, but as school has been cancelled because of a typhoon (though there is no rain at all), the clubhouse was swarming with children….none in the pool though!
