It was looking miserable and dank outside the other morning. I wanted to sketch outside during this trip but so far I haven’t braved the cold – I’m not used to it. This was the closest I could get – the view from my parents kitchen window. Despite it being grey outside my sketch came out really cheery looking!

Here is a doodle done while being subjected to another evening of the UK TV show Strictly Come Dancing, which my parents love. It felt like a repeat, but wasn’t! This is the hallway in my parents house – everything seems to be tall and skinny.
They are big fans of cats…how many can you spot?

I sketched this while waiting for my mum to have a pre-op check up for cataract surgery. The hospital staff, nurses and doctors were working at an incredible pace – so many patients coming and going. It must be exhausting.
If I recall correctly hospitals are often painted in these colours as they are supposed to be calming and make you feel better!

Flying from Manila to Riyadh the in-flight entertainment system wasn’t working – so I made my own. Meanwhile as I sketched an unruly child was yelling at his poor father repeatedly complaining about being hungry and asking where his toys were, while every other person in the plane seemed to have a chesty cough to spread around.

Travelling yet again, this time to the UK. At least my flight was at a humane (daylight) hour this time, so I could sketch a plane instead of a black window. This one is Thai airways . Any airline that paints their planes this colour is OK with me.

What strikes me most about this place (opposite where I sat for coffee yesterday) is the peculiar name. Maybe they serve buckets of breakfast? From the menu though it looks mostly like wings, smokin BBQ etc. Not my idea of breakfast.
