2148 – Terminal 2

After several years (of Covid restrictions) I am finally travelling for work again – this time to Sri Lanka. Here is the first sketch on my journey at terminal 2 in Manila. I had understood that you had to be at the airport 4 hours before the flight, but found the check in counter wasn’t even open. Of course there are no seats, no cafes and when I did join the queue the idea of speeding things up by checking in on line and dropping your bags, seemed to have been forgotten! Anyway I took the opportunity to sketch….at least the building is a bit more attractive than the other terminals in Manila.
