1854 – Keeping his distance

Most evenings our cat, Captain Haddock, sits on our couch with us. He tends to sit next to my wife though (resting his head on her lap…very cute). For some reason he doesn’t like to sit next to me – perhaps because I can’t resist stroking his lovely soft fur….and that annoys him?
