685 – Cafeño

Cafeño is a little coffee shop in San Juan (well worth a visit on the way back from Laiya in Batangas) which was set up in an old heritage house in the mid-1900s to serve customers of a petrol station. On the tables they have these old sewing machines converted into a quaint combination of cake stand and lamp.

  1. Thanks for following my posts.
I have a soft spot for sewing machines, esp Singer models, as I was brought up in the town where they were manufactured.
Impressive that you are painting every day. I have only started three months ago after 50 years plus of inactivity owing to other constraints.

    1. Although I’ve drawn and sketched since I was a kid, I’ve only started doing it everyday relatively recently. I had long periods of inactivity too… amazing you have reinvigorated after a 50 year gap!

  2. Haven’t been paying attention recently so it’s been wonderful to look at what you’ve been posting. I think your style is becoming much fresher and more confident. It’s so wonderful to see. Thanks for sharing 😊👍
