Here is an old sketch that has been hanging around in my sketchbook since earlier this month. This was the second sketch I did on the way to Türkiye from Manila – during my stopover in Doha. The area by the gate that left from had a series of trees – either real or really good fakes, I didn’t have time to take a closer look.

As a painter myself I make everything look real. Like the emerald necklace a sitter wore one time, I wondered if it was real or not but I didn’t ask because I knew I was going to paint it as if it was real. Lovely work by the way!
I’ve enjoyed drawing plastic (supposedly silk) flowers many times!
Right! We can make things come alive with a brush. You’re always making objects and scenes come alive so people can see it through your eyes.
