Here is a sketch I did last Sunday out in our common garden/clubhouse area. The elections are coming soon here in the Philippines (and so have been on my mind a lot) and opera or fuchsia pink (of which there is a tiny speck in this sketch) is the campaign colour of what seems to me to be the best candidate, Leni Robredo. I would vote for her if I could. Unfortunately the son of the former dictator Marcos seems to be doing better in the polls …so it’s an ominous time.
