Here is a sketch I did out in our shared clubhouse area yesterday, while chatting on line to my sketching friend @TheArtofBeingPresent. I first thought I would just sketch the plant, but on looking more closely I realised I had never noticed the floor tiles before, so incorporated some of those too. I know what variegated means, but I confess I had to look it up to get the spelling right….I’ve always been a disaster when it comes to spelling…thank goodness for spellcheck!

I like this one alot. The deep brown in the middle of the composition and the flash of colour at the front, and don’t just say, that was what was in front of you!
