Here is my second sketch done on our sketch-walk today – this fountain is in the plaza in front of Sta. Cruz Church. Apparently Francisco Carriedo y Peredo was a General who raised funds for the construction of a water system in Manila and this fountain was built to honour him.

This is my favourite of the day. I’m a sucker for some nice, intricate stone carving and your crop of the scene is great.

Thanks. I was right next to it so had to crop. I kind of fudged the detail as well but I like how that worked

Yeah, it looks just right. I also think trying to draw every tiny detail would suck the joy out of it 🙂
