Here is another thing I love about the Philippines – the amazing tropical fruit we are lucky enough to be able to buy. The other day when I went to the local market this is what I bought. A huge papaya, apples (probably from China actually), kiat-kiat (a type of small tangerine), sapodilla (called chico here), and bananas. Delicious. I have realised that you can get those really bright reds and oranges by mixing opera pink with gamboge.
