Here is a sketch of my sister’s garden pond – done when we visited for a barbecue. The circular thing is supposed to scare off heron’s…though I gather that it didn’t scare off a grass snake which came and ate some of their fish.

I love the sketch! Funny the circle scares herons. Do they think it’s a big eye or maybe modern art?
I don’t know. Maybe it’s the movement… it’s made up of concentric rings which rotate like a mobile by Calder
