I did this sketch when we had a lovely walk around the villages near where we were staying. Part way into our walk we stopped at the Wyken Vineyards where they have a farm shop and restaurant called the Leaping Hare, for a nice coffee and a cake. We had perfect weather for a walk that day – not too hot but nice and sunny.

This sketch was done on a lovely sunny Saturday morning as we sat in the garden of our AirBnb place in Bardwell, enjoying a coffee and breakfast. This building is next door to the converted Old Baptist Chapel that we stayed in, occupied by the landlord/owners.

Here is a sketch of my sister’s garden pond – done when we visited for a barbecue. The circular thing is supposed to scare off heron’s…though I gather that it didn’t scare off a grass snake which came and ate some of their fish.

Here is a sketch of the AirBnb place we are staying in the UK, in Bardwell, Suffolk. It’s a converted chapel that was built in 1824. As you can see from the sketch the building is surrounded by an old graveyard…spooky for some but not an issue for me. It’s a lovely place to stay – high ceilings in the living/dining/kitchen area and cosy bedrooms in what probably used to be the vestry and choir areas.
