On Sunday we went to a spa resort in Antipolo called Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens – we sat around in infinity pools, a sauna and a jacuzzi, then overate at a Japanese restaurant on the way home…an excellent way to spend a Sunday. This little statuette is a Bulul – a carved wooden figure the Ifugao people of Northern Luzon use to guard rice crops. These days the figures are churned out en masse for tourists (and spa resorts too I guess).
