This wooden carving sat on a table in the dining area at Casa Anahao. It was a challenge to sketch as it’s made of very dark wood. I chose to sketch in this area as it was cooler. Lechon (roasted young pig) is a traditional celebratory dish in the Philippines …someone brought one to our family gathering. Needless to say I didn’t eat any (I am a vegetarian).
