There are many things I love about the Philippines, but this snack comes high on my list. This is called “banana cue” – made from deep fried saba bananas (or plantain) coated in caramelised brown sugar. The term “cue” comes from barbecue – although I think they aren’t cooked that way – they are just skewered on a bamboo stick to make it easier to eat them. Yummy.
