2016 – Paintbox

On clearing out my parent’s attic my sister found this vintage Rowney paintbox – my mum was given it when she was a little girl (and she has now given it to me). My brother-in-law restored it, fixing the hinges and re-varnishing it. Inside are ceramic mixing palettes, still with paint in them, plus the original blocks of paint. I was thinking of using the palettes but just Googled it and found that the box was made in 1890, so I think I’ll just put it somewhere safe!
