1982 – The Woodbine, Blackstock Road

Here is one of my belated sketches from our trip to the UK – which I just added the colour to, from a photo. I sketched this on our walk back to our daughter’s flat (while she and my wife did some shopping) after having spent our first full day in London visiting the Tate Modern and the Portobello Road market. I sat outside a coffee and bookshop called “book bar”, braving the cold. The Woodbine is the black canopied shop-front, and is an Irish pub.
