Our cat has a slightly weeping eye at the moment. Various advice says to bathe it with very mildly salty water. My attempt to do this failed miserably (she struggled and scratched like crazy) and for a while afterwards every time I approached her with a piece of cotton wool in my hand she ran and hid. Thank goodness it is clearing up without my help.
