Today it was raining, so I sat in our clubhouse and did this sketch. It’s been raining quite a bit recently – thank goodness – because it’s cooling things down a little. The odd looking shapes on the left are rather uncomfortable high backed chairs.

It hasn’t stopped raining here today – so here is what it looks like looking out from the gloom! I did this with a soluble ink-filled brush pen, water colours (the colours of which turned out more sludgy than I wanted) and a few lines with a Uniball pen.
I should have really titled this pool during the rain because it hasn’t stopped today. However I needed to get out today and so I sat in one of the gazebos in our common garden and used my watercolours to paint this – I begin with ink and added touches with a water soluble pencil and watercolour pencils.
Today a view out the window, trying to capture the heavy clouds and waving palm tree just as it was about to rain – done with watercolour, water soluble 8B pencil and watercolour pencils.
I did three sketches yesterday, this one was the last one, done almost in the dark. The other two were disasters and took me quite a while. This one I did in a few minutes and it’s the only one I feel satisfied with! This is done in chalk pastel only.
