Today I tried drawing only with oil pastels and pencil – just to challenge myself. This is of some trees, drawn while I was having a cup of coffee.

Today I had a coffee at “Chatime” in SM Pasig [not a bubble tea which is normally served here]. The pink and mauve coloured chairs are a bit loud in real life, but make a great subject to draw. I drew this in water soluble ink, watercolour, pencil and oil pastel…on the last page of my current Daler sketchbook.

Here is a view of our communal garden – we are lucky to have so much greenery on our doorstep. I started concentrating on the trees [most of the greenery is at the top and out of the picture] but had more fun with the colours of the column!

Here is our pet cat, Tintin (from a rescue centre), staying still just long enough for me to draw her. Drawn in a mixture of oil pastels, ink and ink wash, plus pencils.
