Here is my sketch for the last day of #Inktober2021 – following the prompt of “risk”. As I was sketching this little marble dolphin I was thinking of #COP26 and the huge risk of going above the threshold of 1.5C global heating and all the irreparable damage it will do to wildlife. So far in following the news coverage the only person who it really honest is Greta Thunberg.

Here is my sketch for Day 30 of #Inktober2021. My wife made this snake from bottle caps (the head is made from some plastic cutlery and papier-mâché) as a present for our daughters, when we were in the habit of making hand making advent presents. It’s starting to get a little rusty these days.

On Sunday I skipped the #Inktober2021 prompt and did some sketching outside whilst chatting with @TheArtofBeingPresent. This cement plant is down the road from the supermarket that is nearby. I assume it’s put up by DMCI homes who are building more and more housing where we live…I am amazed there is still demand, but I am not amazed by how greedy they are.

As I write this #Inktober2021 has finished…but I still have some catching up to do, so I am going to carry on and finish the prompts. This one was for Day 28 following the prompt of “crispy”. Crisps in the UK means the same as “chips” in America…confusing I know. Until I drew this I didn’t know that the little guy on the packet is wearing chilli shaped shoes!

Here is my sketch for Day 27 of #Inktober2021. This is our little lighter (with a built in sparker) for our gas hob. The hob is supposed to have a built in lighter but we could never get it to work. Somehow this sketch ended up rather too flat for my liking.

After skipping a day I am back to following the #Inktober2021 prompts – this one being “connect” for Day 26. This is just a handful of paper and bulldog clips…plus in there are treasury tags. I am old fashioned enough to use those to file away documents.

On Wednesday we went out to SM Aura mall so that my wife could register to vote (for the presidential elections next year). After doing some grocery shopping I found a nice spot on the roof garden of the mall to have a coffee and sketch this while I waited for her. The big red sculpture (which I have sketched before) is actually a carabao by the artist Jefrë Manuel. To its right is a part of a crazy golf course. It was a perfect spot to sketch, with the sun setting and the light hitting the buildings

Here is my sketch for Day 24 of #Inktober2021 following the prompt of “extinct”. This little wooden carving is from Cambodia…I know elephants are not extinct, but their numbers are decreasing and they are endangered. I’d love to see one in the wild one day.

I just wasn’t in the mood for following the #Inktober2021 prompt of “leak” for Day 23, so I just drew what was in front of me. This stuff is still sitting on our coffee table as I write this… another small job not done yet. The small job was to repair this cat toy (the ball has a little bell inside it) by attaching some elastic and hanging it up. Maybe I’ll do it tonight?
