Here is another sketch from my archives. When I lived in Phnom Penh, I used to go out on Sundays on my bike and sketch some of the interesting houses in the area where I lived. This was before the city became much more developed and crowded…when there were still old wooden houses in the centre of the city. I am not sure if that is the case anymore.

Those skies are beautiful. When you look at your archives, do you feel happy to see that you’ve improved?
Yes. But I like the spontaneity of my older sketches
Ohh, I can see that. I miss some of the quirky qualities and line work in my older art so I get it. Is that something you feel like you can add back?
It helps to look back. That’s why I’m posting some of my old stuff. I cared less about what other people thought of my sketches on those days. That’s a good thing to remember. Social media has some negative affects
