I’ve used cheap makeup brushes for painting. They hold a lot of water and pigment because they’re thirsty, but they don’t hold a point so I’m not the biggest fan.

Usually they’re around the same price and quality, but [low quality] watercolor brush packs can be cheaper than a single [low quality] brush.
