I have given up following the #WorldWatercolorMonth prompts for a while, and gone back to sketching any random object. This bag (kind of a fake Kipling) used to be mine, but now my wife uses it. I found I kept losing things in it because it has so many pockets!

Prompts are a great help when in a creative slump, but when I think I should commit to them for a time period, they feel stressful and make me resent their intrusion into limited art time. I think your blog has taught me that sketching opportunities are everywhere every day.
That’s so nice! I do agree. Prompts are useful sometimes but it’s best not to be too rigid
