This is actually what you’d call an Interlocking Compressed Earth Block – made with lime-soil with a bit of cement and hand compressed. This is actually a mini-version, but I’ve been involved with the production of these for use in low-cost housing for years. The reason I drew this today is that the prompt of #Melogallery today was “brick”.

Yes, because the main ingredient is earth with only a little cement – also they are load bearing so you don’t need concrete columns
