I’ve been a bit delayed in posting because I am travelling again, but here is one of my last sketches done in the Philippines. I love guyabano (that is the Philippines name, elsewhere it’s called a soursop) but they don’t look very attractive. The flesh is delicious and juicy when they are ripe. People in the Philippines also believe the leaves and bark are a natural ‘cancer killer’!

What a curious looking fruit. And the shadow it’s casting is gorgeous.

Thanks Aletha. It’s a n odd looking fruit – they’re always lumpy and misshapen… but yummy too!
