This morning I went on a walk out to Ramlet Al-Baida – the public beach in Beirut. Apparently this is one the last open spaces left in Beirut and it’s threatened by luxury development. The place was pretty empty (it’s winter here) with just a few forlorn looking thatched sun shades and some children’s swings – but I did a sketch anyway.
