Today I am posting my last three sketches from my sketch-walk with ‘TheLifeDrawingSetup’ group last Saturday. This is stained glass window in Sta. Cruz Church, that overlooks the plaza – and a group of little stands selling drinks and snacks. I didn’t have time to finish this on site and added most of the colour at home from a photo.

Last post of the day – this one is of the statue in Lacson Plaza. This plaza is supposed to be one of the most important squares in Manila. The statue is of Arsenio H. Lacson (made by sculptor Eduardo Castrillo in the 1970s) who was the first mayor of Manila to be re-elected three times. At the bottom are some of my fellow sketchers.

Here is my second sketch done on our sketch-walk today – this fountain is in the plaza in front of Sta. Cruz Church. Apparently Francisco Carriedo y Peredo was a General who raised funds for the construction of a water system in Manila and this fountain was built to honour him.

Here is another one from last nights life drawing classes at the Life Drawing Setup with whoaremaro. This was a 5 minute pose by a model who is a ballerina (can’t recall her name). Both models were very good – and very challenging to draw!

I joined the Life Drawing Setup run by whoaremaro last night. This is one of my drawings of the model Jonathan. Something is not quite right about the proportion and head, but I was pleased with the way the light on his chest came out.
