Yesterday I joined the “Sunday Nudes” life drawing class with @DearPrudence.ph. There was a very nice atmosphere and a good model – who likes complicated poses! This is one of my efforts.

I haven’t posted in a long while because I’ve been ill with a cold…I only missed one day drawing though. Here is a sketch of my wife…it’s not very flattering and she doesn’t really look like this, but I tried!

#316 – Immigration extension
Last Friday I had to pay a call to immigration in Makati to make my “Annual Report” – basically all foreigners with the equivalent of a green card, have to show up once a year and pay a small fee. The immigration office is poky, crowded and chaotic, but the process lasted just long enough for me to do a quick ink sketch.

Following my usual routine here is my sketch of people watching their children at gymastics classes. This is always good practice for drawing people – but usually only profiles and the backs of heads.

Day 085 – Frowning at Sudoku
Sunday today, so just a quick sketch of my wife frowning at her iPad playing Sudoko expert level. Struggled with the foreshortening a bit, especially the odd looking foot in the foreground!
Day 052 – Guitarists
In line with my promise to myself to draw more people in my sketches, here are a couple of guys practicing guitar in our common clubhouse…I still need more pratice! I did this with a mechanical pencil and added a bit of watercolour.
