Here is the first batch of sketches I did at the @PensNBrushesArt life drawing session on Friday 19th April. These poses varied from 2 to 5 minutes each and were done using a mixture of #Derwent sketching pencils and ink. Unfortunately I didn’t catch the name of the model.

Finally I am moving on to posting some sketches done at the @PensNBrushesArt life drawing session on Friday 19th April. I haven’t been to life drawing for years – partly because of the pandemic, and partly because of the lack of sessions here in the Philippines. The session included two musicians who played for us (in the rather tiny studio) before the poses and as an interlude while the models switched over and rested. I was itching to get on with the drawing, so instead of waiting for the models I drew the musicians to start off (so not really an interlude in this one). This sketch was done in a few minutes with ink and oil pastel.

Here’s the last one of my drawings that I’ll post from the PensNBrushes life drawing session last Saturday. This is the one I was most satisfied with – there is still something not quite right about her shoulder though.
