831 – A cliff I guess

On Friday we drove out from Brighton to the ‘seven sisters’ – a series of chalk cliffs forming part of the South Downs. Walking along the cliff tops was beautiful but incredibly windy. We managed to find a relatively sheltered spot for a picnic and I drew this.

753 – Wildlife

I am all out of order for the Doodlewash challenge this month – this one is for Monday 4th and for the prompt of “wildlife”. This a marble shark from Romblon and a cowrie shell that I picked up years ago on one of the many other islands in the Philippines.

662 – Sta. Cruz cables

Here is my drawing of Santa Cruz Church in old Manila done on the Philippine Urban Sketchers March sketch-walk yesterday. We found a small shady spot next to the fountain in the traffic island to sketch from – it’s a pity though that everywhere you look are birds nests of cables!

#632 – Life drawing

Here’s the last one of my drawings that I’ll post from the PensNBrushes life drawing session last Saturday. This is the one I was most satisfied with – there is still something not quite right about her shoulder though.
