A quick sketch at the mall last Saturday. I wasn’t able to finish it properly because a cleaner decided to park his trolley right in front of me! Behind the food counter was an incomprehensible array of ducts pipes and unknown bits and bobs…but I drew them anyway.

A view of the mall in SM Pasig from the Krispy Kreme shop – heavy on the perspective! Despite the place being painted in beige and grey, colours seemed to appear to me.

Today my wife and I indulged in some donuts and some sketching together, after our weekly shop. This is a view of Tiendesitas mall over the road from where we sat.

It’s Chinese New Year (last Friday 16th) and the mall where I do our shopping had decorations up – couldn’t resist drawing these yesterday…trying to capture the shadows cast onto the ceiling and column. Happy New Year!

Here is the sketch I did yesterday, a view from a coffee shop after I’d done our weekly shopping.

Today, after I’d done our weekly shopping I had a moment to sketch a scene at the food court of the hyper-mart. I doubt many people look up but there are odd shaped lights and a green and blue circular skylight over the whole area. I think fresh Paluto means “freshly cooked”…I am sure some of my Filipino friends will correct me if I’m wrong!
