#444 – White walls
This is a quick doodle done in my hotel room. The walls are white or off white, but to my eyes have a lot of colour reflected.

#440 – Upside down picture
Another sketch in my hotel room done yesterday. The picture on the wall on the left has been hung upside down…it’s abstract but the signature should have been a clue to the hotel.

#439 – Breakfast by the pool
Today I finally managed to find time to sketch in the daylight. I did this one after having my breakfast. The restaurant of my hotel is partly arranged around a swimming pool, so I haven’t been swimming as you’d be bathing right in front of an audience. One couple chose a far away spot to eat, perhaps so the lady could take off her headscarf. The trunk is part of a big artificial palm tree.

#437 – TV lamp and mirror
I haven’t had time to sketch in the daylight the last few days (too much work) – so it’s back to late night sketches in my hotel room. Here is the first. It’s amazing how similar hotel rooms are!

#436 – Morning coffee
Here is the view from my hotel in Amman…not very exciting actually. However all buildings are made of beautiful limestone and the light is very bright. I’d like to sketch outside here but I think I’d fry in moments.

Here is a sketch done in a hotel in Danang where I was making a field trip. The hotel room smelt rather moldy and damp, but was otherwise fine.

#341 – After a long day
Here is the sketch I did late last night – just feeling too tired after a long but fruitful day of work. You can tell that I’m drawing this just relaxing on the bed in the hotel!
