When I sketch each day I try to draw where I have been or choose a subject that reflects what I have been up to during that day. Last Friday I was busy sanding down and preparing some old wooden benches ready for varnishing…so here is a sketch of the varnish and brush I was going to use. Unfortunately the next day I opened the tin to discover a solid lump of congealed varnish…looks like a visit to the DIY store is needed.
