Here is one of my parents watching the TV. They don’t think much of it and said that “it’s awful”. Well, I admit that the sketch of my mum looks pretty dire and it doesn’t look like them very much, but I am trying! My other excuse is that it was done very quickly.

Here is a doodle done while being subjected to another evening of the UK TV show Strictly Come Dancing, which my parents love. It felt like a repeat, but wasn’t! This is the hallway in my parents house – everything seems to be tall and skinny.
They are big fans of cats…how many can you spot?

No guessing needed to tell what I was doing last night. I might have sketched this multiple times, but I enjoy the repetition – it means I don’t have to think too hard and I can just enjoy splashing a bit of colour onto white paper. By the way, the “red room” comes from the show I was watching on Netflix- the Haunting of Hill House.

I wouldn’t recommend sketching while watching a Swedish drama with subtitles. I missed all the subtitles so had no idea what was going on in the show and had to start it all over again.

My brother, his wife Jodie and their children have been visiting for a couple of days and while they were watching ‘Up’ yesterday afternoon I sketched this. Reading in the background is Jodie (with Greta asleep on her lap – you can just see her legs), Erin is drawing in the middle, behind her is my brother-in-law Peter with the yellow jumper and on the right is my brother. Not my best sketch but it captured the moment.
