1216 – Histar

This is the second sketch I did at Turtle Creek Marina – again my location was dictated by seeking a bit of shade. For a change I took a photo of just the ink work before painting as I was thinking I would muck it up – in the end I think it looks better coloured. The boat seemed to be named Histar (can you spot the little star)…hence the title.

1215 – Turtle creek marina

Another day sketching at a marina – this time a place called Turtle Creek. I tried to squeeze in two boats in this and somehow got a bit mixed up with the perspective – too ambitious perhaps. Before I began sketching though, I had to find a shady spot as it was super hot out there.
