This is a little souvenir (a fridge magnet) that my daughter bought me in Boracay. It’s legs are on little springs. When I opened the package up it made me jump a little as it has spider vibes and I am terrified of spiders! It’s clearly an octopus though.

This is a cap given to me by my sister-in-law as a pasalubong, when she visited last month. I picked this colour because it’s like the one that my dad always wore. In this sketch I tried to capture the soft shadows.

My parents had this souvenir hanging in their bathroom – bought by my my mum in Palawan when they were there during our honeymoon (that’s a much longer story). We kept this (and another clown fish from Iloilo) when their house was packed up by my sister. Whenever I look at this I think of the “Finding Nemo” movie and the character Gill, voiced by Willem Dafoe who was the leader of the Tank Gang in the dentist’s office.
