67-2208 – Acrobatic cat

Today I had to rearrange the plants on our balcony. In this corner we used to have a bamboo (you can see a little of it to the left), but our new kitten, General Tapioca, was enjoying climbing it and then chilling out on top of the corner post…we live on the third floor! So to discourage him from climbing I moved these tall thin plants (no idea of the name) and a spiky one (which I call mother-in-law’s tongue). So far so good…no more climbing yet.

1676 – Over watering time

Here is a little sunny spot on our balcony. I water our plants every day with these two watering cans (the thing on the right is a red basket full of dead leaves)…it seems I over water them a bit. But then again in this climate (at this time of year) if I leave some (particularly the mint) for just a day, they wilt and look so forlorn!

1472 – Greenery

The prompt for day 14 of #WorldWatercolorMonth was “green” so I naturally thought of painting some trees or plants. This is the view from my daughters bedroom window (lucky her) – some bamboo, chives and Aloe Vera that we have growing on our balcony.

906 – Survivor and interloper

This is my second drawing from yesterday, which was a bit unproductive work-wise. All of our chilli plants fruit and then die off, dropping their leaves…I’ve no idea why. This jalapeño plant is surviving though – and as I drew it I realised there is a bit of Alugbati (Malabar Spinach) growing in the same pot – I grows like grass here!
