Here is the last sketch I did with #UskQuezonCity at Philippine General Hospital last Sunday. This tree is on a bit of traffic island…surrounded by hard paving and roadways. Somehow it is doing well – I think it might be a banyan tree?

Here is the third sketch I did at a sketch-walk with #UskQuezonCity last Sunday. I found an article on line saying that this building, which was designed by William Parsons and was built in 1911, was recently refurbished, but it didn’t look like that from where I was sitting.

Here is the second sketch I did during the sketch-walk with #UskQuezonCity at Philippine General Hospital on Sunday. This bell tower is part of the chapel next to the hospital and was surrounded by greenery in a nice quiet spot…full of ants also though.

On Sunday I joined #UskQuezonCity for a sketch-walk at Philippines General Hospital. We were there in partnership with the Department of Emergency Medicine for their 25th anniversary. This statue is a work by Guillermo Estrella Tolentino, the first Philippine National Artist for Sculpture. Apparently the sculpture is supposed to symbolise the selfless offering of one’s self to his/her country. Currently he is in the middle of a parking area for motorbikes.
