I don’t often sketch from the TV, but for a change (seeing that watching movies on Netflix is something I do most nights), I decided to pause a movie at a random spot and sketch what I see (while chatting to my mum on Skype). This is a scene from “All the money in the world” – that’s supposed to be Christopher Plummer in the foreground…I need to work on sketching faces!

I drew this while struggling with my poor internet connection and the frequent buffering on Netflix. Instead of getting frustrated, I got out my sketchbook!

No guessing needed to tell what I was doing last night. I might have sketched this multiple times, but I enjoy the repetition – it means I don’t have to think too hard and I can just enjoy splashing a bit of colour onto white paper. By the way, the “red room” comes from the show I was watching on Netflix- the Haunting of Hill House.
