I missed a day yesterday, so I will try to catch up today. Here is one I did at a coffee shop in Makati. The tall room was lit with long hanging lamps and at the back they had this huge wood-clad column decorated with pictures.

855 – Lamp and clips
Yesterday I did a 25k bike ride (to and from my daughters school), so I was too tired to go out and sketch when I got back. Instead I just sketched this glass mood lamp – which we never use except for hanging my bike clips.

789 – My daughters’ lights
Here is my sketch for yesterdays World Watercolor Month prompt of “light and luminous”. These little lamps, charged up through a USB, are rather cute – both have been through the wars (with my daughters) a bit and have been super-glued and taped up so they still stand erect.Tue-10-July-2018

Here is my first sketch back in Beirut – surprise surprise, it’s done in my hotel room! This was done really late at night (actually early morning today) in ink, watercolour and watercolour pencils.

I have missed a few days I think –Â but I’m sure I’ll make up the difference. Today I sat out in our common clubhouse to work and did this ink and watercolour sketch when I had finished reading about affordable housing in Viet Nam.
