The next #UskQuezonCity prompt for #Sketchtober2023 was ‘bread’ (for Day 6) and although I have recently draw the results of my bread making, I didn’t hesitate to draw this new loaf. After a few failures (rock hard or doughy loaves) I bought some new yeast and this was the solution. This loaf (the Kenwood recipe calls it ‘rustic white’) came out perfectly.

I have a backlog of sketches to post, so this is just a quick one. I rarely tire of just doodling whatever is around in the house in the evening. The Bodum flask in the foreground keeps your coffee really hot, but unfortunately there is something wrong with the lid, so it won’t screw up tightly! Potential for hot coffee in the lap there.

Here is a sketch of a random kitchen gadget – our stainless steel garlic crusher. I have a feeling my sister bought us this and it’s the best garlic crusher ever. There is something about the leverage that makes it easy to use and then you can easily eject any bits that don’t go through the little holes.
