I sketched this at the end of a quiet day having finished the assignment I’ve been working on. I just sketched the foot stool with a blanket on it – which of course was what was in front of me.

Here is another evening sketch – this time of a desk lap next to our sofa (which I seem to spend a lot of time lounging on). Whenever I look at this lamp I think of the opening to #Pixar movies.

I wasn’t sure what to sketch this particular evening, so I did the ironing first…then there was my subject, ready-made, in front of me! At the time I felt that I laboured this a bit…I should have sketched out the shape of the whole subject first. Oh well, there are always lessons to learn.
