Here is the sketch I did yesterday while watching my daughter do gymnastics. Most of the time I was doing this I was struggling with a water-filled brush that was blocked up! Time to get a new one.

I began this sketch yesterday during my daughters gymnastics class and finished it today – I discovered I didn’t have any water with me, so I used a bit of the green tea I was drinking.

Today I thought I’d try something a bit bolder and more colourful at my usual sketching session while watching my daughter at gymnastics. The place is so colourful, I thought I would just concentrate on that.

#564 – Girls on the beam
Yes, it’s back to the gym again – more training for my daughter who will be entering competitions next year. Today there was a big group of young girls practicing on the beam. The two on the left are actually the same girl!

#562 – Medals
Yesterday I spent most of the morning watching my daughter in her gymastics competition. It was so crowded I couldn’t sketch – in fact we stood up in a crowd for 3 hours! She did really well and got three gold medals and a silver one. I’m not quite sure how the medal system works here as almost everyone got medals (though there was one overall champion). Anyway we were very proud. This is my evening sketch of the medals – the red bit is her costume. The sketch didn’t work out as well as I hoped….but never mind!

Here is another one done at the gymnastics club yesterday. My daughter is entering a competition so I am going to be there quite a lot in the next few weeks. Must find something other than backs of heads to draw!

I am behind with posting drawings as always – but here is one done at my daughters gymnastics classes a few days ago. This time instead of people or equipment I decided to draw the pile of slippers (which in the UK we would call Flipflops).
