95-2872 – Eating the weeds (snack)

Here is my sketch for Day 11 of #Inktober2024, following the prompt of “snacks”. For a long time we have been weeding out the Pansit-Pansitan (also known as Ulasiman-bato, Peperomia pellucida or Pepper elder) from the plant pots on our balcony and throwing it away. Only recently did we realise that it’s edible and is supposed to have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties (along with a host of other benefits). I picked this to add to an omelette I had at lunch time.

1926 – Growing

I just had time for a quick sketch before going to bed today. My wife was doing some gardening the other day and having given some of our straggly plants a major haircut, put these cuttings in water to see if they will grow some roots. It’s always good to sketch a bit of greenery (along with some interesting looking shadows).

967 – Grow kit table present – sketching thank you’s

As a way of saying thank you to everyone who got me a Christmas present this year I have decided to sketch each gift (as well as doing my usual sketches when I am out and about). It may take me a while, but it also makes it easier for me to think up a subject matter! This one was from my sister and brother-in-law, an extra gift that was opened at the Christmas dinner table.
