I thought I would sketch a nice big bunch of grapes tonight, but opened the fridge and found my wife had scoffed a load during the day. This is what was left…of course I ate them after sketching this.

The peppers here are so huge (no doubt full of chemicals and not the slightest bit organic) that the obvious thing to cook with them is to suff them. These two were leftovers…I haven’t got into the habit of cooking for one, and I made enough to last several days!

Here is a quick sketch from Tuesday evening…of my leftover dinner! I made too many of these little pizzas and was thinking maybe I’d save this one for breakfast.

On Sunday we went to a vegan food festival in global city. We ate some delicious veggie burgers in a shady spot by the stage where a singing competition was going on. Of course I found a moment to sketch … I think if I’d focussed on a particular aspect of the scene it would have turned out better.

Here is my sketch for day 2 of World Watercolor Month (yesterday’s prompt being “delicious food”). This is the ingredients laid out for our dinner last night – cauliflower, grated cheese, mushrooms, onions and garlic – all to go with rice in “cauliflower marranca”.Mon-2-July-2018

Here is another food/cooking sketch from last night. I was waiting for some chips (french fries) to cook and thought I’d use the time to sketch. The hob is black, as are the gas rings so the whole drawing ended up pretty dark! The title comes from an old TV ad in the UK when some builders in the back of a van sung “we hope it’s chips, it’s chips!”…can’t even remember what they were selling but the song always comes to mind when I am cooking chips.
